How to find a freelance journalist on the Web today
“We’ve all heard the phrase, ‘You’re not going to get it until you get to know someone.’
But you know what?
We’ve all got that one friend that’s not going away.
If you’re lucky enough to know one of us, you’re going to find someone.”
The first step is finding out who your target is.
And that’s what freelancers are all about.
“You want to get a story, you want to have a story.
You want to tell your story.
That’s what we do,” said Chris Poulter, co-founder and editor-in-chief of the website Freelance Writer, which he started in 2013.
Poulter says he and his team have published more than 2,500 stories since launching in 2014.
But the main goal is to build relationships with freelancers, who he says will take your story and tell it to you in a way that will help you succeed.
The site features articles on topics such as:What is a freelancer?
How to become one.
How to get your first paid article.
How can you get your stories to the top of the search engine rankings.
And, most importantly, how to grow your readership.
The most successful stories are those that aren’t written for the sole purpose of getting paid.
“We’ve been writing stories about people that really deserve to be in this space, and I think that’s something that really resonates with people,” said Poulster.
“What we’re trying to do is bring the stories to life, and then tell them the stories that are really resonating with readers.
It’s like an extended version of an email newsletter.
The only difference is that you can’t see what the person wrote in it.”
Poulters website has more than 5,000 stories published, and many of them are written for a fee.
But he says that is a big part of why he’s successful.
“There’s so much opportunity to build something that people will read, and that will have an impact in the long run,” said he.
“It’s like building an elevator, you don’t know where it’s going to go until it’s finished.
But when it’s done, the elevator is going to be worth it.”
For example, Poulters recent story on how to become a journalist on WordPress was a perfect example of what that means.
“We’re writing about how to be a freelance reporter in a business environment.
This is a business.
And you have to be able to write stories,” said the Freelancer.
Pulter says it was his idea to write about the business of freelancing.
“I think it’s important that we know that this is a field of work that’s in our immediate future, and we have a lot of opportunities out there,” said Mr. Poulber.
But he admits that some of the most successful freelancers aren’t really writing for the pay.
Pouls first story about becoming a freelance writer on WordPress is a case in point.
“I got to know this person, and he was very successful.
He was in business for a long time, he was writing a lot, and in this business he had all these people.
But they all said, ‘We want to write for free.’
And I was like, ‘Well, what’s the difference between that and writing for free?'” said Pouls.
But for Poults, the answer is this: he doesn’t want to do it for the money.
“When I started out, I didn’t think that this was a big deal, and if you have a couple of thousand people following you on Twitter and all these other sites that you’re not really trying to reach, that’s fine.
I’m just going to keep doing what I do, and hopefully they’ll follow me,” said said Puls.
“But I know that it’s not for the cash.
And I know it’s for the stories.
And hopefully they’re going do it with me.”
Pouls website is a great example of how freelancers can thrive in the digital space.
The website has over 10,000 unique visitors each month, according to Poulers.
But most of those visitors are on the freelancing side of the business.
“Most of the time the people that are reading the stories on the site are probably going to email me and tell me what they thought of the story.
And when you start with that kind of content, that can really turn into a sustainable business,” said says Pouls.
